I’m glad it made you think. It’s still something I’m thinking a lot about as I work through my relationship with my body.

There is no one size fits all ,we come in all shapes and sizes , there is no point in worrying over it ,your body is never going to get any better with age either ,so what's the point wasting a life ,it's inside that's the most important aspect of being human .

The body is constantly under siege because underneath racism, misogyny, Judeo-Christianity, white supremacy and most other ideologies is the fundamental belief that the mind is superior to the body.

To the extent that women are more associated with the body than men, we take the brunt of the projected energy of this lie.

To the extent that people of color are more associated with the body than white people, they also take the brunt of the projected energy of this lie.

The truth is, the mind is a poor substitute for the true Self.

Without embodiment, none of us have access to our deeper intuition, wisdom and wellness.

We need to reclaim our body and its wisdom against the tyranny of the mind and the colonization of human consciousness by the mind.

The mind can hate and hate and hate and shame and shame and shame the body – and project that brown bodies or female bodies are the problem – but it will never win.

Because the whole idea that the mind is superior to the body is a lie.

Thank you for putting this into words. The idea that the mind is superior to the body has shaped so much of how we live and how we disconnect from ourselves, especially as women. I’ve been thinking about how safety in our bodies begins with reclaiming that connection, learning to listen to what the body is saying before the mind explains it away. What you wrote about embodiment as the doorway to intuition and wisdom really stayed with me.
